Michiel is an expert on supervising complex innovation programs. Since 2000 he worked as a management consultant and interim manager specialized in change management and innovation for leading publishers and large companies and multinationals. Michiel has coached over 20 media firms in the innovation program Publisher of the Future (Uitgeverij van de Toekomst), a cooperative network of 120 Dutch publishers and media firms.

As from 2015 he became responsible for several innovation challenges and accelerator programs for international companies like Liberty Global International, Allen&Overy, Vodafone Foundation (Mobiles for Good) and Ahold (het beste idee van Ahold) commissioned by InnoLeaps. Currently Michiel de Klein is working with Innomics on innovation programs and Accelerators (GO!-NH Accelerator commissioned by the province of Noord-Holland and the AgriFood Accelerator) with several small, medium and large enterprises.

Michiel has writen several articles about change in de media industry and is author of ‘Format for Change’ (Opmaak voor verandering).
